The On Time Typing, Editing and Proofreading team

On Time Typing, Editing and Proofreading (OTTEP) is owned and operated by Sally-Anne Watson Kane assisted by a team of highly experienced typists, writers, scribes, editors, graphic designers and transcriptionists (all contractors), all of whom live in Australia. All our team members have signed strict Confidentiality Agreements with OTTEP, and all our typists, scribes, transcriptionists and editors have passed OTTEP’s accuracy tests.

Our diverse team of typists, scribes, writers, editors and graphic designers (all contractors) includes neurodivergent, gender diverse and First Nations people, from typists as young as eighteen to editors in their sixties. We live in Canberra, ACT; Katoomba, NSW; Darwin, NT; Cairns, and Gold Cost, QLD; Adelaide, SA; and Bendigo, Moe in Gippsland, Mornington Peninsula, and Melbourne, VIC.

Our clients include businesses, companies, individuals, government and non-government agencies across Victoria, Northern Territory, Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT.

Who we are

  1. Sally-Anne Watson Kane (Proprietor): lives in Moe, Gippsland, Victoria. Skills: over 30 years’ experience in editing (structural and copy editing) reports, fiction and non-fiction,  specialising in memoir and poetry. Neurodivergent coach and editor with extensive experience coaching and supporting people who are neurodiverse and/or disabled (including NDIS participants). Writing selection reports. Producing self-published books: memoir, poetry, history and family histories. Producing transcripts. Scribing while you speak, online across Australia – reports, minutes, dictation, oral histories.   2. Meg Friel: identifies as a locally born and bred Aboriginal woman; lives in Palmerston, Northern Territory. Skills: scribing (main points or minutes) on site in Darwin area. Sensitivity reading/editing (Top End, or national, Indigenous content). Copy typing. Writing selection reports and other corporate reports. Extensive experience in working with people who are neurodivergent, and people with disabilities. Holds Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Master of Education.
  3. Deb Wain: lives in Central Victoria. Skills: editing (structural and copy editing) poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Coaching in writing/self-editing.  Extensive experience in coaching and editing for people who are neurodivergent, and/or have disabilities (including NDIS participants).  Proficient in Auslan and coaching clients who are Deaf.  Holds a Graduate Diploma of Professional Writing, Graduate Diploma of Deaf Studies (Auslan), and PhD (Creative Writing) – Keepers of Culture: Women, Food and Writing. Professional member of IPEd.
  4. Dr Gail Wilson: lives on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Skills: editing (structural and developmental): memoir, historical fiction, academic writing, and corporate writing. Coaching in writing/self-editing. Experienced in coaching and editing for people who are neurodivergent, and/or have disabilities (including NDIS participants). Holds a Graduate Certificate of Editing and Electronic Publishing, Doctor of Philosophy, and Master of Arts (Education). Has presented at teaching and learning related conferences, edited and peer-reviewed many manuscripts for professional journals, and is a published author. Professional member of IPEd.
  5. Peter Loupelis: lives in Melbourne, Victoria. Skills: coaching in writing/self-editing. Neurodivergent coach and editor with extensive experience coaching and supporting people who are neurodiverse and/or disabled (including NDIS participants), including experience as an academic coach, and as an AHPRA-registered primary healthcare practitioner, health coach and trauma-informed therapist. Holds a Graduate Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Associate member of IPEd.
  6. Kyla-Jayne Rajah: lives in Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. Skills: editing (structural and copy editing): fantasy, memoir and other genres. Coaching in writing/self-editing. Experienced in coaching and editing for people who are neurodivergent, and/or have disabilities (including NDIS participants). Holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, Advanced Diploma in Creative Writing, and Diploma in Editing, Proofreading and Publishing; andcurrently studying a Diploma in Mental Health.   7. Kyle Walmsley: lives in Katoomba. Identifies as LGBTQI+. Skills: coaching (storytelling/writing coach). Producing transcripts (at least 98% accuracy) – focus groups, interviews. Extensive experience in working with people who are neurodivergent, and people with disabilities.
  8. Peter Symons: lives in Melbourne, Victoria. Skills: editing, and coaching in writing/self-editing. Neurodivergent coach and editor with experience coaching and supporting people who are neurodiverse and/or disabled (including NDIS participants). Experienced in copy editing academic publications (PhDs, local histories), developmental editing (biographies, histories) and writing life stories (oral history-based). Holds a Master of Arts in Public History, Honours Degree in History, Diploma in Professional Writing and  Editing, and Graduate Diploma of Education.  Full member of: Professional Historians Association, Oral History Victoria.   9. Claire McGregor: lives in Melbourne, Victoria. Skills: graphic design (InDesign, MS Word); editing and proof reading publications. Holds Diploma of Feature Writing (Honours). Professional accredited member of Institute of Professional Editors Ltd (IPEd).
  10. Christina Carter: lives in Melbourne, Victoria. Skills: graphic design (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Word – Mac and PC): manuals, books, reports; editing photographs and images; formatting/design trouble-shooting. Holds Bachelor of Graphic Communication (Graphic Design).
  11. Hannah Auld: lives in Canberra, ACT. Skills: scribing while you speak (oral histories, dictation). Copy typing reports and manuscripts or publications. Experience in working with people who are neurodivergent, and people with disabilities.
  12. Natalie Trainer:  lives in Palmerston, Northern Territory. Skills: coaching (storytelling coach) in-person or online. Copy typing reports and manuscripts or publications. Resumes. Data capture (data input) using Excel and other programs. Consultation with local clients.
